Following Pope Francis' proclamation of 2021 being a year dedicated to St Joseph, the St Croix Catholic Parish has unfurled a new banner outside its St Stephen church. It's the hope of the parish that we would follow the example of St Joseph who was a beloved, tender, and obedient father.

Special summer masses announced

The pastoral council is pleased to announce two special outdoor masses are being scheduled for this summer that will bring together our entire parish in worship.

Parishioners from St Stephen, St Andrews, and all corners of Charlotte County are invited to gather at 10:00 am on Sunday, July 18 in St Stephen and 10:00 am on Sunday, August 15 in St Andrews. We will meet outside both churches. Please bring a lawnchair and respect health protocols for social distancing. Other masses those weekends will be cancelled to allow all to participate at each location.

This accomplishes several objectives:

  • To worship God in His creation
  • To bring together the parish as one body
  • To respect current health protocols regarding assembly
  • We look forward to seeing you there!

A letter of encouragement from the pastoral council

    Unity and teamwork concept.

As you know, we are now one parish with three worship sites in St Stephen, St Andrews, and on Campobello Island. But in the process of amalgamation, we have had to adapt quickly to the pandemic and many of our best intentions in coming together have been thwarted.

Despite these challenges, we are witnessing a beautiful coming together of parishioners in love and service for our united parish. We want to remind everyone that our success depends on becoming “family”. We are one body in Christ.

We believe that means that we should reach out in compassion to fellow parishioners before and after mass, supporting events at all worship sites, and developing new outreach programs that will make us viable into the future. Get to know people who aren’t familiar to you. Volunteer to serve in one of our ministries. Try attending masses in different locations. Doing so will encourage others. We will only be strong and successful as we work together as one team.

We thank all parishioners for the contributions they make to this vibrant community.
