As we know, this year's Christmas will be different! To conform to provincial health restrictions, we will continue with five Christmas masses in St Andrews and St Stephen, but capacity in each sanctuary will unfortunately be limited. Parishioners must reserve their space in advance. To reserve, please phone the church office (466-6043) and leave a message, stating the location, time, and number in your immediate household, along with your phone number. We will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Below are the times and locations of the masses:

--St Stephen: 4 pm on December 24
--St Andrews: 7 pm on December 24
--St Stephen: 10 pm on December 24
--St Stephen: 9 am on December 25
--St Andrews: 11 am on December 25

Protocols for orange level announced

Our region has just been informed that we are now at Orange Level and protocols for gatherings have now changed. As a result, our Parish Mission will need to be cancelled. Masses continue with restrictions of 50 persons maximum, while socially distancing and wearing masks.

New, safe solutions for celebrating the Eucharist during COVID-19

St Michael 2

Many people are understandably cautious about gathering during COVID-19. While all masses in St Stephen and St Andrews continue to follow New Brunswick protocols, including social distancing and mandatory masks, we have other options available too.

(1) Masses every Sunday morning at 9 am are streamed live to the St Croix Parish Facebook page. If you've joined this group, you can view the mass at this time. These live streams are also saved on the page for viewing later, if 9 am is not an option.

(2) Another new solution allows parishioners to receive the Eucharist. You may attend the Saturday 4 pm mass in St Stephen and listen to the mass from the safety of your car on FM 90.3 thanks to the support of a parishioner. If you notify the usher who will be located outside the church that you are doing this, they will notify Fr Suresh who will come to your car following the mass to offer you the Body of Christ.

(3) Parishioners who are shut-in and not available to travel can also contact the church office and arrange for you to receive the Eucharist at home.

We are hopeful this is a solution that will benefit many as we move forward through this year of challenge.

St Croix Parish is pleased to host Fr. Mark Cherry for a parish mission November 30-December 2, 2020 at 6:30 pm each evening. Fr. Cherry will focus our attention towards renewal for our faith and a recommitment to follow Christ. All are welcome!

Themes for evening sessions:

Monday, November 30 -- A time for mercy
Tuesday, December 1 -- What time is it?
Wednesday, December 2 -- What are we called to do?

All current COVID-19 protocols will be followed including mandatory masks. There is limited seating as we are socially-distancing. Please register in advance to save time at the door and to confirm you will have a reserved seat.

There will be a free-will offering each evening in support of the mission.

UPDATE: Due to moving to ORANGE level, we have regretfully had to cancel this mission.
